Mick Jagger and the Rolling Stones just arrived in Los Angeles a few days before this interview to finish recording Let It Bleed and rehearse for their upcoming American tour. It's their first tour in 3 years, and ends with the infamous free Altamont Concert.

Eric Clapton Oct. 24th, 1970

Eric Clapton is in NYC on tour with his short-lived band, Derek & the Dominos, in support of their album Layla and Assorted Love Songs.  Immediately after this interview, Clapton and his band will play 2 shows at the Fillmore East which will be immortalized in their live album.
